The JJT Foundation
A Greener Future
As the world continues to fully understand the importance of being in harmony with nature, ROHA is making significant investments in clean energy. ROHA has set up several solar and wind energy plants around the world in order to minimize its impact on the environment.
In 2007 ROHA became a carbon-neutral company by installing a 7.5 MW wind energy farm in Sangli, Maharashtra, India. A significant part of ROHA’s energy investments is in the form of a 25 MW solar plant that was commissioned at Gujarat, India in 2011, and inaugurated in March 2012. ROHA also has an ongoing construction of a 10 MW solar plant in Rajasthan, India.
ROHA In Society
Good deeds are how the JJT Foundation reaches out to serve humanity better. These deeds are carried out through numerous initiatives.
ROHA has provided subsidized & free healthcare and medical aid in the form of a speciality hospital. Underprivileged and physically challenged children have benefitted from special education institutions for them.
Across rural regions, ROHA has provided mid-day meals, set up tuberculosis centers, and set up gaushalas. These gaushalas or cow centers house around 5000 cows that produce dung which is sold to increase and encourage the use of organic manure, and improves methane gas production.
Several sports & cultural activities are conducted with a focus on the development of rural youth. The JJT Foundation supports several underprivileged children through institutions such as the Shri. Jhabarmal Tibrewala Aadarsh Vidya Mandir (a girls school with about 500 students), the Adarsh Bal Niketan Primary School, the Asha Ka Jharna (serves about 250 students), and the Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University (JJT University) in Jhunjunu, Rajasthan, India.
